Milk thistle oil is obtained by cold pressing. A natural product, first pressing. Milk thistle seed oil is rich in natural active elements and unsaturated fatty acids. Milk thistle oil is composed of the unsaturated fatty acids linoleic acid (Omega 6) and oleic acid (Omega 9). The most important elements found in cold-pressed milk thistle oil are carotenoids and fat-soluble vitamins E and K; micro and macro elements: potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, selenium, chromium; biologically active substances: lignans, flavonoids and chlorophyll.
One of the active ingredients in milk thistle seeds responsible for improving liver function is the flavonoid complex silymarin. Silymarin works
- As an antioxidant – neutralizes the effects of free radicals. Studies show ten times greater antioxidant activity than vitamin E.
- It increases glutathione peroxidase (a powerful antioxidant in the body). Glutathione is responsible for the detoxification of hormones, medications, toxins, and other chemical compounds.
- Stimulates protein synthesis in the liver, which results in increased liver cell regeneration – the liver is able to regenerate faster and more efficiently.
- It limits the synthesis of leukotrienes (inflammatory substances).
Application: Milk thistle oil is not intended for heat treatment. It is recommended to use it fresh for healthy cooking.
Remember! When starting a liver cleanse, it is normal to experience skin rashes and bumps, headaches, mild nausea, mood swings, and anger. If symptoms do not resolve within a few days to a week, it is recommended to consult a specialist.
